The commitment and hard work of teams from the Wroclaw Medical University and the University Clinical Hospital in Wroclaw has resulted in the achievement of one of the key milestones in the INFERRCT clinical trial.
On Thursday, September 22, 2022, the first patient in the non-commercial INFERRCT clinical trial conducted at Wroclaw Medical University under the leadership of Prof. Piotr Ponikowski, MD, PhD, was randomized to the study.
This pivotal moment in any clinical trial is the culmination of many months of hard work and commitment on the part of the authors of the protocol – Prof. Piotr Ponikowski and Prof. Ewa Jankowska, Dr. Joanna Szachniewicz – National Coordinator of the study at the Wroclaw University Clinical Hospital, and the staff of the University’s Clinical Research Support Center, which, thanks to funds obtained from the Medical Research Agency, has been expanding its activities at the University since 2021.
